76ers Injury Report: Will Key Reserve Face Cavaliers?
The Philadelphia 76ers have been healthy lately, but the streak will end on Wednesday night. With a matchup against the Cleveland Cavaliers on tap, the Sixers will face the Eastern Conference contenders while shorthanded.
Jalen McDaniels, who suffered a hip injury on Sunday night when the Sixers battled the Washington Wizards, will miss his first set of action as a member of the Sixers.
During the first half of Sunday’s game, McDaniels left the matchup to get checked out. After getting diagnosed with a hip contusion, the Sixers ruled out McDaniels for the entire second half. He finished the night with just over seven minutes of playing time.
Doc Rivers wasn’t worried about McDaniels after the game and didn’t seem overly concerned when the team returned to practice on Tuesday. While the head coach was hopeful McDaniels would play on Wednesday, that won’t be the case after all.
When the Sixers face the Cavs at 7:30 PM, McDaniels will be on the bench in street clothes rather than in uniform, ready to go.
Fortunately for Philly, McDaniels is the only player that’s not cleared for action on Wednesday. Although the team has seen its fair share of notable players on the report lately, including Joel Embiid and James Harden, the two stars are healthy and ready to roll.
