The city of Cleveland will be jumping once again this April as their favorite basketball team is back in the NBA playoffs. The Cleveland Cavaliers clinched their first playoff berth since 2018 a few weeks ago, but there was still work that had to be done.

Donovan Mitchell encouraged his team that they should shoot for the three seed with the Philadelphia 76ers' struggles. But that is not out of reach as the Cavs have settled and clinched the fourth seed.

But that still has its perks.

Bringing a top-four seed means that the Cavs will have home court advantage in the first round of the playoffs no matter who their opponents are. At this point, it does appear that the New York Knicks and Cleveland are on collision course for a first-round matchup, but that's not official just yet.

Clinching the fourth seed is a big deal for the Cavs. They went from being a play-in tournament team last season who lost both of their games to now a top team in the Eastern Conference and NBA.

Cleveland clinched home court on Tuesday night when they beat the Orlando Magic 115-113 which also marked a

This was their 50th win of the season which eclipses last season's win total of 44 and is the most wins of a Cavs team since 2017-18 went 50-32.

The same thing can be said for when the Cavs punched their ticket to the playoffs. This is an impressive step in their return to glory, but the job isn't finished yet.
