The Cleveland Cavaliers grabbed their 49th win of the season on Sunday night as they beat the Indiana Pacers by a final score of 115-105. The game was close throughout but Cleveland was able to pull away in the end.

These are three reasons why the Cavs were able to grab the victory.

1. Caris LeVert

One of the most impactful players including starters and reserve players is easily Caris LeVert who had another strong game on Sunday night.

The guard-forward combo got it done on both ends of the floor as he finished with 15 points, four assists, and three blocks in 33 minutes of playing time. LeVert's efficiency also didn't go unnoticed as he fished shooting 50 percent from the field.

LeVert has been asked to do a lot this season from playing the shooting guard or the small forward and starting or coming off the bench. The role that he's found now as a bench piece who finishes games is where he's been the most comfortable and let's hope this carries into the playoffs.

2. Fourth Quarter Defense

The Cavs have started a trend over the last few weeks where they kick up the defensive intensity in the final quarter of play. While this could come back to bite them in the playoffs, it worked on Sunday night.

Cleveland limited the Pacers to just 18 points in the final 12 minutes while also forcing seven turnovers in the final quarter alone. These Pacer turnovers also turned into seven Cavalier points.

3. Paint Domination

Cleveland dominated the paint against the Pacers which has been part of their gameplan all season.

The Cavs scored 68 paints coming from inside which was 26 more than the Pacers were able to score. Having Jarrett Allen back in the lineup was a large part of this success.

Complimenting outside shooting with inside scoring is a great recipe for success once the playoffs start.
