The season did not end how the Cleveland Cavaliers or Donovan Mitchell would've liked it to as they lost to the New York Knicks in just five games. But we can't take away the success Mitchell and the team had in the regular season.

The shooting guard came over from the Utah Jazz in arguably the biggest trade of the NBA season. Mitchell's first year in Cleveland was full of accolades and memories that deserve to be recognized. These include a 71-point outburst, becoming an All-Star starter, and leading the team back to the playoffs for the first time in five seasons.

All of this didn't go unnoticed as Mitchell was named to the All-NBA Second Team for the regular season. The other players joining him are Jaylen Brown, Jimmy Butler, Stephen Curry, and Nikola Jokic on the All-NBA Second Team.

The list of Cavaliers to be nominated to an All-NBA isn't as long as you may think.

The only other players in Cavaliers history to be voted to an All-NBA team are Kyrie Irving, LeBron James, Mark Prive, and Brad Daugherty. That's a pretty elite group of Cavs legends to be a part of after just one season in town.

Spida's addition to the second team caps off a career season for the shooting guard and is well deserved. He scored a career-high 28.3 points per game while having his most efficient season from the floor.

Knowing Mitchell's phenomenal work ethic, he's likely not satisfied with a Secon Team selection and wants to go for the First Team. This is a great motivator heading into next season.
