Jarrett Allen And Isaac Okoro To Miss Second Consecutive Game For The Cavs
The Cleveland Cavaliers will head into their final game against the New York Knicks a little short-handed once again. They were missing two key defensive pieces in their loss to the Atlanta Hawks on Tuesday night and they'll have that same issue once again.
Jarrett Allen
Jarrett Allen will miss his second game in a row as he continues to work through a groin injury.
Missing Allen is a huge blow for the Cavs as they've come to rely on his defense in the paint and his ability to score inside. The center is averaging 14.4 points, 9.9 rebounds, and 1.2 blocks in the 33 minutes a night.
Evan Mobley will need to step up against the Knicks if the Cavs want to come away with a win.
Isaac Okoro
The other starter that the Cavs will be without on Friday night is Isaac Okoro. This is now also Okoro's second game that he has missed due to injury.
Ice has grown into his role since the calendar flipped to 2023 and his shooting the three from well above 40 percent since January. Lamar Stevens is likely to get more playing time due to Okoro sitting on the bench.
Hopefully, these injuries are nothing super serious as the playoffs are just around the corner. Not having two-fifths of your starting lineup once the postseason starts would be a difficult hurdle to jump over.
