We are currently in peak NBA silly season. This is the time of the year when it's hard to keep up with all of the rumors, trades, and reports leading up to the official start of free agency.

One of the most sought-after free agents on the market and has been at the center of a lof of these rumors is the Miami Heat's Max Strus

There are a number of teams that are interested in signing Strus and this includes the Cleveland Cavaliers. In fact, Sturs to the Cavaliers is starting to gain a lot of traction and becoming a real possibility.

Jake Fischer of Yahoo Sports reports that Strus is seeking up to $16 million a year from any team who is interested in him. This essentially puts his return to the Heat out of the question with their tight salary situation.

This is where Cleveland comes into play.

Barry Jackson of the Miami Herold reports that the Cavs and Heat have indeed talked about a sign-and-trade that would send Strus to Cleveland. He noted that there could be a third team involved, but who they are is unknown.

The Cavs desperately need someone such as Sturs on their roster. He's a career 37 percent career three-point shooter. However, he did struggle quite a bit in the playoffs only shooting 40 percent from the floor and 32 percent from three.

Landing Strus would make Cleveland a better team, but they should be careful not to overpay in terms of salary cap or if they were to trade for him.
