The holes on the Cleveland Cavaliers' roster are clear. They need to add a forward, someone who can space the floor and knock down threes, and a big man who can provide quality minutes off the bench.

Why not check off two of those boxes with one player? Someone who could fill that need is free agent forward Max Strus.

Jake Fischer of Yahoo Sports reported that Strus is indeed on Cleveland's list of free-agent targets heading into the offseason.

Strus broke out as one of the league's best three-point shooters over the last two years with the Miami Heat. He shot 41 percent from behind the arc in 2021-22 and 35 percent from three last season.

One worry with signing Strus is that he began to struggle during the Heat's impressive Finals run. He shot just 31 percent from three while averaging 9.3 points in the 23 postseason games.

What will happen if Cleveland signs Max, but these shooting woes continue into next season?

Fischer also reported that there is going to be a large market for Strus' services. The Cavs aren't the only team looking for a forward who can shoot. With this in mind, Cleveland should be careful they don't overpay for him.

There are other areas of need on the roster and using the entire mid-level exception on one player who can be streaky at times.
