In this story:

Earlier on Wednesday, conflicting reports came out about the Cleveland Cavaliers' future plans with Darius Garland. One report said that the team had talked about trading the All-Star point guard while the other said the team wasn't moving DG.

This came a day after Brian Windhorst said that he was hearing some "outlandish" rumors about what the Cavs were planning on doing in the offseason. This only fueled social media to go into a frenzy.

Thankfully, Windhorst clarified all of these rumors and what he meant by "outlandish" and shut down any trade rumors involving Garland or Donovan Mitchell. This is what he said:

“First off, the Cavs aren’t trading Darius Garland, ok. They’re not trading him. They’re not trading Donovan Mitchell. I don’t remember what word I used but it made everybody very, very, very excited … I didn’t realize the word ‘outlandish’ was such a trigger word. So from now on, I will be very very careful to be very bland. I am going to be extremely bland when I say the Cleveland Cavaliers are not trading Darius Garland.”

So, the Garland-Mitchell backcourt will be back with the Cavs for another season. However, Winhorst was clearly hearing something about Cleveland's plans before the start of next season.

It's very likely the Cavs will make more moves this offseason whether that be through signing free agents or trades, but DG and Spida are here to stay.
