The Cleveland Cavaliers have another anomaly in their schedule where they'll see the same team for two consecutive games. This happened against the Miami Heat and Charlotte Hornets earlier this month. Now they'll see the Brooklyn Nets twice in the same week.

Even though fans had to hold their breath toward the end, Cleveland was able to come away with a win in the first game. These were some of the explanations for the Cavs' win.

Cedi Osman Gets Off The Bench

The Cavs bench stepped in a big way against the Nets by scoring 38 points. A majority of that had to do with Cedi Osman and his hot start in the first half.

Cedi finished the night with 12 points and was a perfect four-for-four from behind the arc. Three of those threes came in the second quarter and set a strong tone for the Cavs as they got deeper into the game.

Osman is a streaky shooter, but he can be a massive boost for the team when he gets hot.

Strong Third Quarter

The third quarter has been one of the Cavs' biggest weaknesses throughout the season. It was one of the main reasons they lost tight games to the Celtics and the 76ers in the last month.

However, the third quarter against the Nets was what separated them against the Nets.

Cleveland held a six-point lead heading into halftime but came out of the third with a 16-point separation. They outscored the Nets by 10 points and limited them to 23 in the quarter. Donovan Mitchell led the way in the scoring department with nine points.

Three Point Shooting

The Cavs struggled from behind the arc in their win last Friday against the Wizards. This could've been a massive issue for them if it carried over against the Nets. Thankfully, that wasn't the case.

Cleveland as a team shot 48 percent from behind the arc. Mitchell finished going five-for-nine, Caris LeVert was three-for-six, and Cedi was perfect.

It would be nice if the Cavs could stay consistent from deep as they close out the season and head into the playoffs.
