"You Should Have The Right To Stand Up For Yourself:" J.B. Bickerstaff Defends Donovan Mitchell After Brawl
I don't think there are many, if any, coaches in the NBA who would be alright with their All-Star player continuously getting into fights on the court.
But Donovan Mitchell isn't one of those guys and J.B. Bickerstaff fully supported what he did after Dillion Brooks took a cheap shot on Mitchell.
After the game, J.B. defended Mitchell's actions and backed what transpired on the court. He said:
"If somebody makes a play like that, you should have the right to defend yourself. It was a cheap shot in multiple ways. You roll a guy's ankle and then obviously, whatever was next out of there. A guy should have the right to stand up for himself and I thought Donovan did that."
Bickerstaff then went on to have probably the quote of the night saying, "we don't have guys who start shit and we don't have guys who run from shit."

I can think of a better way to sum it up. No one on the Cavs is going to search out a fight or an opportunity to get into an altercation. Howerver, if another team brings one to the table they better be ready for Cleveland's response.
