After suffering a face contusion in Saturday night's loss to the New Orleans Pelicans, LA Clippers star Kawhi Leonard is being listed as probable for Monday night's game against the Chicago Bulls. It was reported after the game that the Clippers did not have any major concern with Leonard's injury, but there was still a possibility that concussion protocol could be in play.

Any time a player takes a hit to the face or head area, there is always a chance that they can miss time for concussion reasons, as the league understandably takes that very seriously. Fortunately for Leonard, it seems as if the initial headache he experienced after the blow to the face has subsided, and he should be able to return to the lineup on Monday.

Already without Paul George, the Clippers certainly need Leonard available as they finish out the regular season. Still needing to clinch a spot in the playoffs, the Clippers cannot afford any more injuries, especially to their top talent. It is unclear whether or not Leonard will be forced to wear a face mask, but at least for now it seems as if he will indeed play.

As previously mentioned, the Clippers desperately need wins at this point in the season. Having dropped their last game to the Pelicans, the Clippers will look to get back on track against a Bulls team that has been playing much better basketball since the All-Star break.
