With Kawhi Leonard resting on Saturday, the LA Clippers fell to the Orlando Magic at home. The loss snapped a four-game winning streak that had vaulted LA back into the 5th seed, and it also placed additional importance on Sunday night's game in Portland.

With Kawhi Leonard returning to the lineup, the Clippers will be facing a Portland Trail Blazers team that is dangerous any time Damian Lillard steps on the floor. While Portland's record is poor, Lillard is having another incredible season, and is a threat to go off on any night.

The Clippers will enter Portland almost entirely healthy, as former Blazer Norman Powell is their only absence. The Blazers will be without Jerami Grant, Justise Winslow, and Ibou Badji. Nassir Little is questionable for Portland with a non-covid illness.

Having dropped a very winnable game against Orlando, the Clippers have to get back on track in this one. The Western Conference playoff picture is still shifting daily, and the Clippers have not created a comfortable enough gap between themselves and the play-in picture. While they were fortunate with both Golden State and Minnesota also losing on Saturday, the Clippers must refocus on taking care of business to avoid any slippage down the standings.

Missing only Norman Powell, this game is a good opportunity for the Clippers to get back on track.
