Kawhi Leonard Reacts to Steph Curry Scoring 50 Points vs Clippers

Kawhi Leonard has seen Steph Curry explode before.

Steph Curry exploded for an insane 50 points on 71% shooting, and also 21 points in the third quarter against the LA Clippers on Wednesday night. Despite that, Kawhi Leonard and the Clippers found a way to remain composed and still come out with the win.

Kawhi knew he had to stay composed during Curry's hot shooting stretch, and knew exactly what to do because he's seen it before.

"Just being in the league, this isn't my first time seeing him explode like that," Leonard said after defeating the Warriors. "I think just being there before, it kinda helps you stay focused on the moment and just know that he's a great player and he's going to make those shots. We have to come down and still make it tough for him."

Wednesday night was actually the first time Kawhi Leonard and Steph Curry faced off against each other for the first time since 2021. Fans haven't been able to enjoy the superstars against each other because of injuries, and it was a moment that Kawhi Leonard appreciated.

"You already know what he can do," Leonard said. "He brings the best out of everyone on the floor. You have to stay tuned into his game, locked in at all times. One second, you're not thinking about it, he's going to come in and make shots. It's great to see him out there. It was fun."

Steph Curry was the definition of showtime against the LA Clippers on Wednesday night. Fortunately for the Clippers, it didn't matter, because they came out with a win.
