During a recent live episode of his podcast, Patrick Beverley was asked if he thinks anybody in the NBA is a dirty player. His answer: Chris Paul.

This is far from the first time Beverley has had something to say about Paul, as the two have gone at each other on the court, with Beverley often bringing things off the court and into the media as well.

Notably shoving him from behind in the final moments of the 2021 Western Conference Finals between the Clippers and Suns, Beverley is not a fan of Chris Paul, as has made that known on several occasions. In his explanation of how Paul is a dirty player, Beverley explained certain things he does that go unnoticed even by officials, like grabbing a player's leg when they're jumping.

This Beverley-Paul dynamic is one of the more interesting ones in the NBA, because the two players were traded for each other back in 2017 when Paul left the Clippers for the Houston Rockets. Beverley said during an ESPN appearance last year that their connection goes even further back than that, and is something that started when Beverley was in college.

"Me and CP this started when I was in college," Beverley said last year. "I went to LeBron James camp.… and I got a taste of little CP there. Destroyed him. Ask LeBron, I don't have to lie, ask Chris that's your good friend. You know, so there's always been something there."
