Being a member of the LA Clippers in Los Angeles is a very special type of situation. One where you're sharing a city with another franchise that has 17 championships and one of the biggest fanbases in the NBA. It's a never-ending uphill battle of always proving yourself, one that Paul George knows better than anyone.

Paul George recalled what it was like when he was first traded to the Clippers instead of the Lakers on the newest episode of Podcast P.

"I remember when I first got traded to the Clippers, we went to like Disneyland or Universal Horror Nights," George said. "We're walking around, and all they were saying was 'oh PG congrats! Congrats on coming to LA, you should be a Laker!'"

Hearing those words from Lakers fans was the first time George heard that, but it wouldn't be the last.

"To be honest, that was the first time I've heard that, and since then it's been like 500 other times. When people see me out in public, 'oh what's up Paul George, you should be a Laker!' Why not just say go Clippers? We representing LA too, bro. It took me to actually be here to realize, we gotta a lot of work to do."

Paul George's experiences with Laker fans are something both he and Clippers fans definitely share in common. Clippers fans will always hear 'why don't you just become a Lakers fan?' hundreds of times in their sports lives. Unfortunately for both Clipper players and fans, the only way to stop getting the question is for the team to win multiple NBA championships.
