LA Clippers superstar Kawhi Leonard is widely known for his quiet persona, which is something his new teammate Russell Westbrook says is not an issue. When asked about Leonard after Saturday's win over the New York Knicks, Westbrook said with a smile, "Kawhi is great… He don’t gotta talk. I can talk for him. I talk enough for everybody. Anything he needs from me he knows I have his back. And that’s vice versa."

Westbrook's answer was both thoughtful and hilarious, as he shared high praise for Leonard while also joking that Westbrook talks enough for the two of them. Westbrook has quickly emerged as a vocal leader with the Clippers, which is something he recently said comes natural to him.

"I feel like God has blessed me with that gift to be able to not just lead, but take criticism, to take whatever it is that's coming from my teammates," Westbrook said recently. "Also make sure I'm consistently on [Paul George and Kawhi Leonard], whoever it may be throughout the game, and letting them know what I see from my point of view. Because a lot of times guys are locked into the game and focused on what they need to focus on, and my job as a point guard is to make sure that I see what's going on throughout the game and how I can help the other guys out."

Westbrook's vocal leadership not only makes his team better, but it can also cover for anybody else who doesn't like to talk as much.
