Draymond Green Sends Message to Memphis Grizzlies Fans

There aren't many NBA players today who love to be hated more than Draymond Green. He seems to relish it like a WWE Superstar, basking in the boos. It was no different this week against the Memphis Grizzlies.
Green made his return after an indefinite suspension against the Memphis Grizzlies on Monday night, and the crowd made sure to boo him during his first check-in. After the game, Green reacted to the moment on The Draymond Green Show, where he pointed out the irony of Grizzlies fans booing him.
"It also felt good to boo the crowd back because they were booing like always in Memphis," Green said. "Which is quite crazy that the Memphis fans hate me so much, being that they wanted me in free agency. Would have been really funny if I ended up in Memphis. I just wonder what the reception would have been if I actually ended up in Memphis."
While no one really likes being hated, Draymond Green seems to really enjoy it. He somehow finds a way to look at the fun in all of it, which is what NBA players really should do. Basketball is a game, there are no harsh feelings, and it should be a playful banter between players and fans.
"But yeah, they really hate me there and to be honest, I love it and I love them and I love that they love to hate me," Green said. "It's a very great thing. I think their fans are hilarious and it's always a great time. It's always in good fun."
If there's one thing that makes a villain all the more loveable, it's the fact that they know they're a villain. Draymond Green knows this and walks a good fine line with it.
