During a recent episode of The Old Man and the Three podcast, former NBA forward Evan Turner suggested the Memphis Grizzlies should move to Nashville. Show host and former NBA guard JJ Redick co-signed that statement, but recently apologized to Grizzlies fans, admitting he was wrong.

"On last week’s episode of The Old Man and the Three, we had a Rhoback question, the last question. It was not on audio, but it was on video," Redick said. "And on that video, I asked a very simple question to Andre Iguodala and Evan Turner about which city would you like to see get an NBA expansion team. And during that conversation, a number of cities were mentioned. Evan Turner mentioned Nashville - that the Memphis Grizzlies should move to Nashville, and I co-signed that. That was a mistake on my part. For all of Memphis and for the Grizzlies fans, let me apologize and I mean this sincerely. The Memphis Grizzlies have a great, great fanbase. They're a great organization. Memphis has a soul, a culture, the Grizzlies should never leave Memphis."

The conversation was certainly disrespectful to Memphis and the Grizzlies fanbase, but Redick issued a sincere apology, admitting he was wrong for co-signing Turner's comments. This was cool to see from Redick, because Grizzlies fans were rightfully upset over the suggestion they should lose their NBA team.
