Former NBA Star Shares Bizarre Support for Draymond Green's Antics
Golden State Warriors forward Draymond Green was ejected again on Tuesday night, this time for a shot to the face of Jusuf Nurkic. This ejection came just games after Green was reinstated from a five game suspension for choking Rudy Gobert.
During an episode of Gil's Arena, former NBA star Gilbert Arenas shared a very bizarre take on Green's recent antics, supporting him for what Arenas believes is an attempt to target European players.
"I know what [Draymond] is doing," Arenas said. "He's taking care of these [Europeans] one at a time. The media is trying to push these [Europeans] on us, and you're choking and slapping them back. I get it, baby. Do your thing... He got about six or seven more."
Some of Green's most notable incidents have involved European players, but it has certainly not been exclusive to them. Regardless, this was a very strange take from Arenas, that seemed to make the others on his show uncomfortable.
Brandon Jennings pushed back a bit, saying Green has only been involved with two incidents this season involving European players, in which Arenas responded, "He got about six or seven more."
Arenas played for the Golden State Warriors for two seasons to start his NBA career, and went on to make two All-Star teams before finishing his career with the Memphis Grizzlies in 2012.
