Falling to the Memphis Grizzlies on Saturday night without Luka Doncic and Kyrie Irving, the Dallas Mavericks will once again be without their superstar against Memphis, as Doncic has been ruled out for Monday's rematch as well.

Dallas did well to battle without Doncic and Irving in Memphis on Saturday, but came up short down the stretch. Without Doncic again for this game, Dallas will have to hope that Irving makes his return, as he is currently being listed as questionable.

Grizzlies forward Dillon Brooks took a subtle shot at Luka Doncic when informed that superstar guard would not be playing on Saturday, saying it goes to show that sometimes players aren't ready to return to a physical game. Brooks also added, "I hope Luka gets back for the next game so I can guard him. I didn’t get a chance to guard him the first game and he had a great game [Oct. 22 when Brooks was hurt]. So I wanna see where I’m at."

Brooks will not be getting his wish, as Doncic remains out for this crucial matchup. The Mavericks have once again fallen into the play-in picture, and need every win they can get to escape that uncertain fate. With the 6th seed still very much in play, and the 5th seed also not far from reach, Dallas needs wins. As for Memphis, they also need to stack wins with the Sacramento Kings currently holding a share of the two-seed.
