Injury Report: Memphis Grizzlies vs Atlanta Hawks
The Memphis Grizzlies face off against the Atlanta Hawks tonight in a battle between two of the youngest and most exciting point guards in the NBA - Ja Morant and Trae Young.
The Grizzlies have five players listed on their injury report: Steven Adams, Brandon Clarke, Luke Kennard, Derrick Rose, and Marcus Smart. Steven Adams is out due to right knee PCL surgery, Brandon Clarke is out due to left Achilles tendon repair, Luke Kennard is out due to a left knee bone bruise, Derrick Rose is out due to a left hamstring strain, and Marcus Smart is doubtful with a left foot sprain. While the Grizzlies are still missing some very key players, their injury report list is smaller than it usually is - which is a great sign.
The Atlanta Hawks have nine players listed on their injury report: Kobe Bufkin, AJ Griffin, Mouhamed Gueye, De'Andre Hunter, Jalen Johnson, Vit Krejci, Seth Lundy, Dejounte Murray, and Onyeka Okongwu.
Kobe Bufkin is questionable with a left thumb fracture, AJ Griffin is out due to personal reasons, Mouhamed Gueye is out due to a right low back stress fracture, De'Andre Hunter is out due to right knee soreness, Jalen Johnson is out due to left distal radius fracture, Vit Krejci is questionable due to left thumb surgery injury recovery, Seth Lundy is available on a G League two-way, Dejounte Murray is questionable with a right forearm contusion, and Onyeka Okongwu is questionable with right heel soreness.
Since Ja Morant's return, the Memphis Grizzlies are undefeated with a 2-0 record against the New Orleans Pelicans and Indiana Pacers. The Atlanta Hawks are definitely a team that the shorthanded Grizzlies can beat while they have Ja in the lineup, and beating them is surely to cause some real momentum.
The Memphis Grizzlies and Atlanta Hawks face off tonight at 7:30 p.m. EST.
