The Memphis Grizzlies face off against the best team in the Western Conference tonight, but fortunately for Memphis, the Timberwolves are on the second night of a back-to-back.

The Grizzlies have seven players listed on their injury report: Ja Morant, Desmond Bane, Brandon Clarke, Luke Kennard, John Konchar, Scotty Pippen Jr., and Marcus Smart.

Ja Morant is out due to a right shoulder labral tear, Desmond Bane is out due to a left ankle sprain, Brandon Clarke is out due to a left Achilles tendon repair, Luke Kennard is out due to an illness, John Konchar is doubtful due to a left thumb sprain, Scotty Pippen Jr. is out due to a lumbar disc bulge, and Marcus Smart is out due to a right ring finger central slip tear.

The Minnesota Timberwolves have five players listed on their injury report: Anthony Edwards, Rudy Gobert, Kyle Anderson, Jaylen Clark, and Leonard Miller. Edwards and Gobert are questionable, and the other three are out.

Not too long ago during the 2022 NBA Playoffs, the Memphis Grizzlies and Minnesota Timberwolves were a first-round matchup against each other as the 2nd and 7th seeds respectively. Fast forward two years later, and it seems like the situations between the two teams have reversed. Memphis has been plagued by injuries, stuck in the 13th seed, and the Timberwolves have been the 1st seed in the Western Conference for the majority of the season.

The Minnesota Timberwolves and Memphis Grizzlies face off at 8:00 p.m. EST tonight.
