Having served 24 games of his 25-game suspension, Memphis Grizzlies star Ja Morant is ready to take the court for the first time this season. Morant has been counting down the games on his Instagram story, and has shared his final post of the suspension:

Morant will inherent quite the hole to dig out of, as the Grizzlies are currently 6-18 on the season, and 6.5 games back of a play-in spot. That said, it is still just December, and there is a lot of time for the Grizzlies to turn this around.

While the return of Morant is of course the biggest reinforcement the Grizzlies will be getting, it's not the only one. Key role players like Marcus Smart, Luke Kennard, and others have spent a lot of time injured this season, but should also be nearing returns in the coning weeks.

If the Grizzlies can stay healthy for an extended stretch after Morant's return, they should be able to make a push at a play-in spot. It won't be easy digging out of this hole, but Morant seems ready for the challenge.

If nothing else, the return of Morant will give Grizzlies fans something to be excited about. It has been a very tough season, but the superstar point guard returning to the lineup will help boost everyone around the Grizzlies.
