On March 3, 2023, Brandon Clarke suffered a season-ending Achilles tear injury. It was a horrible moment for both Grizzlies fans and Clarke, as he was having a fantastic season. Now, it looks like he may be back sooner than expected.

Marc J. Spears from Andscape revealed that Brandon Clarke is targeting a return to the Grizzlies around the NBA All-Star break after being injured since March.

Prior to the injury, Clarke was averaging 10.0 points and 5.5 rebounds on 66% shooting from the field. His presence was sorely missed during the 2023 NBA Playoffs when the Grizzlies were severely lacking size against the Los Angeles Lakers. Not just his presence though, but also Steven Adams.

After an absolutely brutal start to the NBA season, the Grizzlies are finding themselves getting healthier one step at a time. They're still missing 6-8 players a game right now, but this team can only take it day by day. If they can figure out a way to string some wins with Ja Morant's return, they'll be able to position themselves for a sneaky playoff run. All that matters is to keep the ship afloat until everyone starts returning.

It's too early for Grizzlies fans to get excited, but fans haven't had much to be excited about this season. Hopefully, Clarke's return can give them some much-needed solace.
