LeBron James Reacts to Lakers Beating Grizzlies
The Los Angeles Lakers defeated the Memphis Grizzlies on Tuesday night, and LeBron James was excited to see his squad pick up another victory while he is sidelined with an injury. James Tweeted shortly after the buzzer to show his excitement for the win, as well as the big night from Anthony Davis.
The Lakers are hoping that James can return before the playoffs begin, but they are also ready for the possibility that he does not. Now in 9th place in the Western Conference, the Lakers need to continue racking up wins if they want to stay in the play-in tournament. There is still an outside chance that the Lakers could even make the top-6; however, it is much more likely that their path to the playoffs will go through the play-in tournament.
On the outside looking in at the playoff picture for most of this season, the Lakers have been trending upwards since the trade deadline. LeBron's injury complicated things, but Anthony Davis has stepped up in a major way.
The Memphis Grizzlies are of course shorthanded as well, with Ja Morant being away from the team after flashing a gun during an Instagram live video, but this is still a big win for the Lakers. As previously mentioned, the Lakers need every win they can get at this point in the season.
With the loss, the Memphis Grizzlies officially fall to third in the Western Conference after being top-two for most of the season.
