New York Knicks React to Jalen Brunson's Injury vs Grizzlies
Jalen Brunson went through a scary moment against the Memphis Grizzlies on Tuesday night, when he rolled his ankle in the fourth quarter. The Knicks ultimately defeated the Grizzlies, but Brunson didn't return for the rest of the game.
After the game, both Tom Thibodeau and Knicks players reacted to Brunson's ankle injury. Knicks head coach Tom Thibodeau stated that he didn't speak to Brunson about the ankle injury and that he didn't think there was any chance of bringing him back into the game.
Donte DiVincenzo had a much more optimistic outlook on the injury, claiming that he's not too worried about it.
"Playing with him for so long, I said 'You good?' and he's like 'I'm good' and I didn't ask anything after that. I don't worry about Jalen at all. He's one of the toughest guys in the league. I'm not worried."
The injury couldn't come at a worse time for Brunson. This season was the very first time that Brunson has been selected to be an NBA All-Star. The game is rapidly approaching in less than weeks, and there's no type of timetable of any kind on when Brunson will return. Hopefully, the injury isn't serious at all, and he'll get the opportunity to play in the All-Star game that he deserves.
If there's any team in the NBA that knows a thing or two about the injuries this season, it's the Memphis Grizzlies. It's never a fun moment for any team to go through, and one has to really feel for Jalen Brunson.
