Shaq had incredibly nice words to say about Ja Morant

This off-season was arguably the darkest moment of Ja Morant's career. Fortunately, through that darkness, came one of the brightest returns imaginable - Shaq agrees.

On Inside the NBA, Shaquille O'Neal spoke about Ja Morant's return, where he offered some incredibly high praise, calling it one of the best comeback stories he's ever seen.

"That's how you come back," Shaq said. "That's a helluva comeback story, probably one of the best comeback stories I've seen. Young fella made a mistake, he did his time, he paid his dues, he didn't complain. He took it like how we say on the streets, he took it like a real G. He came back with that look."

If there's one thing that Ja Morant's return proved, it's that he's not just a good NBA player, he's a great NBA player. His return showed that he's a top-10 player in the NBA that's capable of immediate impact.

"This guy wants to be great," Shaq said. "I respect guys like this that want to be great. Ja, I'm happy for you, I'm happy for your family. You get the golf clap from me. That's how you come back, young brotha."

Since Ja's return, the Memphis Grizzlies have not lost a game with 3-0 record, including impressive wins against the New Orleans Pelicans, Indiana Pacers, and Atlanta Hawks. Make no mistake, the Memphis Grizzlies aren't a joke anymore.
