Damian Lillard Deletes Instagram Story Calling Him "The Next Miami Heat Superstar"

Damian Lillard accidentally reposted a graphic calling him the next Heat superstar.

Miami Heat fans are looking for anything to solidify their hopes of Damian Lillard arriving as soon as possible.

Well, there was a huge indicator.

With large periods of time with no trade talks, it can be easy for fans to think the negotiations fell through. Whether accidental or not, this re-assured many in South Florida that the superstar is still thinking about the Heat.

There's no telling when the trade will happen. But this at least encouraged some Heat fans that Lillard is still prioritizing Miami, and that it may come to fruition soon.

That is...until we go another three weeks of nothing happening. The situation has now lasted nearly two and a half months. Lillard initially requested a trade to the Heat July 1 but no progress has been made. 

The Heat are set to open training camp Oct. 2 at Florida Atlantic University.
