Jimmy Butler posts Instagram video thanking his teammates and talking about journey to the Finals

After a successful season that ended with a loss to the Denver Nuggets in the NBA Finals, Miami Heat’s Jimmy Butler delivered a message to teammates via an Instagram post.

Relaxing on the beach, he begins the video by saying “Hella proud of our guys this year. As we always try to achieve our goals, I think it’s very important not to lose sight of the journey and all of the great times together as a unit this year.”

This refers to the journey for the Heat to make the Finals. From starting the regular season with a 2-5 record to being one loss away from elimination in the play-in tournament, the Heat overcame every obstacle. They are just the second No. 8 seed to make the Finals.

Butler wraps up the video by saying “Love my guys and I wouldn’t want to be in that position with anybody else. I appreciate y’all and here’s to a couple more”
