Kevin Love Shares The Impact Of Jimmy Butler’s Leadership On And Off The Court
During his time with the Miami Heat, superstar Jimmy Butler’s leadership has been more valuable than ever before.
His competitive personality was often viewed as a negative while with other teams due to disagreements with the organization. Butler's leadership has shown in all aspects now that he is surrounded by an impeccable coaching staff and a championship-caliber roster in Miami.
Heat forward Kevin Love may have only joined the team last season, but he gave extremely high praise for Butler’s personality and leadership.
"I think with Jimmy it’s the intensity and his approach," Love said. "Everybody leads in a different way everybody gets a rise or gets the best out of their teammates in a different way. I think his is again that intensity leading by example. Sometimes, it’s verbal. Sometimes, it’s a look. Sometimes, it’s understanding that you have to meet him; you can’t meet him one foot in, you gotta dive in with him. You have to go all the way or you know there’s gonna be moments where you’re exposed or your teammates are gonna need to build that trust with you throughout the season. But that’s in every moment I feel like that’s… the Miami Heat is that approach and that attention to detail and that grind mentally and physically to get the best out of each other is apart of who we are and I think Jimmy is at the head of that."
As we grow closer to training camp and the regular season, NBA fans will once again be able to see Butler’s leadership on full display.
