Latest Damian Lillard Highlight Compilation Shows What He Can Bring To Miami Heat

A recent NBA video compiled Damian Lillard’s best shots from last season

The NBA recently released a video of Damian Lillard’s most prolific 3-pointers last season.

Miami Heat fans will probably have this compilation on repeat until the Portland Trail Blazers star is on their team.

The video features performances like his 71-point game against the Houston Rockets and his 11 3-pointers on the Minnesota Timberwolves. As one of the greatest shooters in league history, he continued his greatness last year by averaging 32.2 points on 37 percent shooting from the 3-point line.

These shots from the arc show his range, with many of these baskets coming near halfcourt. This shot selection and high-level scoring is exactly what the Heat need. They were 10th in 3-point attempts last year but 29th in percentage. They were also last in scoring, which is why they fell to the play-in tournament. 

Lillard brings an offensive threat who provides scoring outside the perimeter. Jimmy Butler and Bam Adebayo are Miami’s top scorers but neither excel on the perimeter. In fact, Adebayo has attempted just 68 3-pointers in his career.

Heat fans can dream of the day Lillard hits a winner shot over the Boston Celtics or drops 45 points in the NBA Finals. It could be a while until this happens, so at least they can marvel at these highlights in the meantime.
