Miami Heat Reportedly Increased Trade Offer For Blazers' Damian Lillard
The Miami Heat are at least putting every ounce of effort in acquiring Portland Trail Blazers guard Damian Lillard.
The Heat are ready to offer a trade package that features three to four first-round draft picks and more for Lillard. Shams Charania recently broke the proposed deal on an appearance on The Rally on Bally Sports.
"I'm told the Heat have been preparing a trade package around three to four first-round draft picks, a potential draft swap as well, second-round picks, a young player potentially," Charania said.
The Heat also likely need to find a third team so Tyler Herro can fit into the deal. Lillard requested a trade month ago before talks stalled between the teams because they were unable to find suitable package. According to Charania, Lillard remains only interested in playing in Miami.
"At this point, it's on Portland to find a deal with Lillard," Charania said. "This is a guy that played 11 seasons there, arguably the best player in franchise history," Charania said. "He's been loyal there for years."
