LeBron James "Salutes" TV Host Jon Stewart For His Gun Laws Debate With Oklahoma Senator Nathan Dahm
LeBron James is among the thousands applauding TV host Jon Stewart for his recent interview with Oklahoma senator Nathan Dahm.
Stewart and Dahm had a debate about gun laws on an episode of "The Problem With Stewart. Dahm's stance was he felt more guns would lead to a safer America while Stewart is in favor or stricter rules and background checks.
James, who played for the Miami Heat from 2010-14, thought Stewart won the argument with ease. Early Saturday morning, James tweeted a clip of the interview with eight "salute" emojis followed by, "AT ITS HIGHEST ORDER!!"
Many around the country agreed with James.
Among the show's highlights was Stewart asking Dahm why he felt the need to ban drag show readings to children while advocating guns.
“What you’re telling me, is that you don’t mind infringing free speech to protect children from this amorphous thing that you think of,” Stewart said. “But when it comes to children that have died, you don’t give a flying fuck to stop that, because that shall not be infringed.”
