Miami Heat's Tyler Herro Takes A Dig At Officiating Against Knicks Via Twitter
Miami Heat guard Tyler Herro saved his gripe for social media instead of the postgame interview session.
After the Heat's 122-120 loss Friday to the New York Knicks, a Twitter user posted a video of Herro driving to the basket for a layup. Herro was called out of bounds instead of awarded two points.
The video clearly shows Herro's right foot was in play and the bucket should have counted. The Heat lost by two points.
When Herro saw the video, he responded via his Twitter account.
"That's horrible," Herro wrote.
Not sure if the NBA considers complaining about officiating on social media worthy of a fine. But Herro does have a legitimate beef. The call should have been reversed, especially in such a tight and meaningful game.
The loss means the Heat's game against the Atlanta Hawks today is for the No. 7 spot in the Eastern Conference standings.
