Miami Heat Likely To See Referee Scott Foster In Conference Finals Against Boston Celtics
The chances of the Miami Heat having Scott Foster as a referee are a high probability during the Eastern Conference finals against the Boston Celtics.
Foster was among the 20 chosen participants for both conference finals series. The league announced the names via Twitter.
They are Curtis Blair, Tony Brothers, Marc Davis, Tyler Ford, Brian Forte, John Goble, David Guthrie, Bill Kennedy, Courtney Kirkland, Eric Lewis, Mark Lindsay, Tre Maddox, Ed Malloy, Rodney Mott, Kevin Scott, Ben Taylor, Josh Tiven, James Williams and Zach Zarba.
Foster is arguably the most scrutinized referee in the NBA, especially from Heat fans because they believe he is against their team. A petition recently was created on the website Change.org to have Foster removed from the NBA.
"We mean no harm or threats to the man and his family but his unprofessionalism and hubris can no longer go unnoticed," the petition read. "It’s hard to teach an old dog new tricks as he’s been doing this for years."
The Heat lost 12 of the last 13 in games officiated by Foster, including 10 straight, before winning Game 6 against the New York Knick.
