NBA Fans Compare Landry Shamet to Former Miami Heat Guard Ray Allen
The Phoenix Suns’ lackluster bench production had many on the outside writing them off unless someone stepped up.
Veteran guard Landry Shamet answered the call. In the final quarter of Game 4 against the Denver Nuggets, Shamet had 14 points en route to his 19-point performance. He had 12 straight on four shots from downtown. Fans had fun comparing him to many sharpshooters, such as former Miami Heat guard Ray Allen.
“Landry Shamet really turned into prime Ray Allen,” user BismackMuse said. “Monty licking his chops, feeling like a genius now.”
It’s been Kevin Durant and Devin Booker headlining Phoenix, but their sole contributions will not be enough if the Suns want to win the series. They will need more outside performances like Shamet’s to defeat Denver.
If Shamet really is like Allen, the Nuggets might not want to leave him open in the corner for Game 6. We know how that worked out for San Antonio.
