The Michael Jordan-Jimmy Butler Comparisons Are Being Passed To Anthony Edwards

One video shows Anthony Edwards’ moves identical to Michael Jordan.

NBA fans constantly compare Miami Heat superstar Jimmy Butler to legend Michael Jordan. Their play styles and superstar playoff performances had many jokingly declaring Butler as Jordan’s son.

But now that title is being passed down star shooting guard Anthony Edwards. Edwards made noise for his 34-point performance against Germany in Team USA’s final exhibition game.

He already drew comparisons to Heat legend Dwyane Wade, but now his play style is mirroring the G.O.A.T.

Another aspect of his game that mirrors Jordan is his mentality. Team USA coach Steve Kerr suggested Edwards come off the bench like Wade in 2008. Edwards responded, saying the team didn’t have a Kobe Bryant-esque player for Edwards to sit behind.

Edwards’ comparisons to legendary shooting guards shows his progression in this past year. He earned his first All-Star appearance after averaging a career-highs every statistical category. Many Heat fans are looking for any reason to get the Minnesota Timberwolves star to their team.

The Wade comparisons, being looped in with Butler as Jordan’s son…at this point, just send Edwards to Miami.
