Who Is Most Talented Point Guard In Miami Heat History If They Were All In Their Prime?

The Miami Heat may not have the longest history, but a multitude of great point guards have gone there prior to retirement.
The likes of Seattle SuperSonics great Gary Payton, Toronto Raptors All-Star Kyle Lowry, and Tim Hardaway highlight the bunch.
Most of these players arrived past their primes, raising the question of who is the greatest Heat point guard in history if they were all in their primes.
Payton spent the vast majority of his career with the Sonics before joining the Heat for the final two seasons of his career, where he won a championship. However, at his peak, Payton was arguably the best defensive guard in the league. He averaged over 20 points for eight seasons and 1.5 steals for 14 consecutive years.
Lowry is currently with the Heat after spending relatively short stints with the Memphis Grizzlies and Toronto Raptors. The bulk of his success came from his time in Toronto, where he was named a six-time All-Star and won a championship alongside Kawhi Leonard. During his best season, Lowry averaged 22.4 points and 7.0 assists.
Hardaway is the rare exception who spent some of his prime in Miami. On the Heat, Hardaway was selected for multiple All-Star games and averaged over 20 points in his best season. His peak occurred early on in his career with the Golden State Warriors, where he was named to an additional three All-Star games.
If all of these All-Star point guards spent their primes on the Heat, Payton’s defensive prowess and efficient scoring would rank him as the greatest in Miami’s history.
