Your Los Angeles Lakers finished as one of the four final teams left standings this past season and they now enter the offseason in need of some changes. Will they bring back the core of players from a season ago and just add around the edges? Or will the roster itself look completely different?

Only time will tell, but Bleacher Report released their way-too-early "2024 Championship Odds," and Los Angeles came in the top 10 of teams.

According to them, LA has odds at +1500 to win it all next season, good for 7th overall. It's a little surprising to see them this low, especially with some of the teams ahead of them. The Golden State Warriors and Philadelphia 76ers sit ahead of them and I have questions.

We all just saw the Lakers take down Golden State in the postseason in six games, including a few blowouts so I'm curious as to why LA is behind their rivals from the Bay Area. Additionally, with Philadelphia, there is speculation that James Harden may leave the team so they'd be left with Joel Embiid and some quality role players.

When healthy, future Hall of Famers LeBron James and Anthony Davis still give this team a very high chance to win basketball games. If they do decide to bring back the core from this past playoff run, the sky is the limit. Just look at all the success that the team had in just two months together. Now imagine them getting a full training camp to fully gel and get comfortable.

Either way, the Lakers sitting at +1500 seems like a steal to me. Better go places those bets now and thank me later.
