Health is the name of the game for any sports, and that is especially true for the Los Angeles Lakers. The Lake Show has been beaten up for weeks, having to deal with injuries to Cam Reddish, LeBron James, Rui Hachimura, Gabe Vincent, and Jaxson Hayes.

With injuries piling up, it's hard to imagine most teams would be able to put forth stellar performances. That was certainly the case when the 76ers destroyed the Lakers with a final score of 94-138.

A lot of that has to do with the team being shorthanded, and Davis recognizes that fact. He also commented on his ability to be the bigger body needed to contest shots.

Davis was speaking to reporters about the Lakers finding a way to hold everything down while they wait for some much-needed reinforcements. He also stated that it's his job as a big body to be in the right place to contest shots when needed.

That was certainly what happened as LA rebounded in a big way, defeating the Pistons 133-107.

It's hard for the team to have a good core in place when they are constantly having to shift things around with the numerous injuries they have been facing. Thankfully, that appears to be a bit more manageable heading into tonight's game.

Both Rui Hachimura and Jarred Vanderbilt have been made available, which should soften the blow for Davis having to be don't the court for an extended period.

The hope is that Davis can rely on his teammates to get set, while he uses his big body to contest opponents heading to the bucket. The Lakers take on the Rockets tonight, and the hope is they come away with a win and confidence to take down the Suns during the In-Season Tournament Quarter Finals.
