Lakers News: Former LA Lottery Pick Signing With Jordan Brand

He's making the leap!

Former Lakers number two overall pick Brandon Ingram has been able to develop into one of the NBA's premier young stars as the leader of the New Orleans Pelicans. Ingram has put forth three straight seasons with averages of at least 22 points each year and standing at around 6'8, there are few players that possess his length and scoring ability.

We have been seeing a lot of Ingram lately as he suits up for Team USA during the 2023 FIBA World Cup along with a shining Austin Reaves and looks to bring home the gold. However, the 25-year-old wing decided to use this offseason as an opportunity to announce a big business decision as well.

The former Duke three-level scorer decided to part ways with Adidas and sign with Jordan instead.

“Signing with Jordan Brand is a game-changer,” said@B_Ingram13 “A life-changer, and now that it is a reality, I can’t wait to do special things together on and off the court.”

The Jordan brand already has a number of the best basketball players in the game right now under contract such as Luka Doncic and Jayson Tatum and now they are bringing in someone that may not play for the biggest market but still holds a ton of potential.

Ingram played one season with LeBron James in LA before being the focal point in a package that landed them Anthony Davis. Now in New Orleans, he has two very talented running mates in Zion Williamson and CJ McCollum but the three of them haven't always been on the court together due to injuries.

It's clear that the former lottery pick is still in the process of molding into the star that the Lakers originally envisioned him to become and this is a great signing on Jordan's end!
