Magic Rookie Anthony Black Playing With 'High Level of Confidence', Says Coach Jamahl Mosley
The Orlando Magic selected Anthony Black with the No. 6 pick in this past year's NBA Draft, and some people have been questioning whether or not that was the right decision.
There are a number of players that were drafted after Black that have played better so far this season, but in the Magic's last game against the Dallas Mavericks, the rookie guard showed the potential that he has. Head coach Jamahl Mosley talked more about the impact that Black had in his postgame interview.
"I thought he was confident, aggressive, defended well, did all the right things early on just trying to get the pace going in the game... Stepping into his shot with a high level of confidence," Mosley said.
Black finished the game with 20 points, shooting 7-9 from the field as a whole. But the stat that was really impressive was the 4-4 that he shot from the three-point line. Coming out of Arkansas, the one big question that teams had was whether or not Black could be a consistent shooter, but he showed how much he has improved from beyond the arc.

"I feel like it shows in spurts," Black said in his postgame interview. "There’s nights like tonight where I have more points and more shots. I know it’ll all come. I’m being patient and just sticking to the work and doing whatever I’m asked to do."
Black will get his next chance show how much he has improved when he and the rest of the Magic face off against the San Antonio Spurs on Wednesday. Tipoff is set for 8 p.m. ET in the Frost Bank Center.
