Magic SG Jalen Suggs Reacts to Trade Deadline
The NBA trade deadline has come and gone, and there was no shortage of crazy moves. But none of those moves came from the Orlando Magic.
The team has been quiet the last couple of seasons in the trade market, and this year was no exception, as the team's roster looks exactly the same. But despite the negative connotation that not making a move has, Magic guard Jalen Suggs appreciates the team remaining consistent.
"This team is special," Suggs said in a recent interview. "We got great people on this team, we’re all super close. All of us are brothers, we love being around each other. We didn’t make no moves… that speaks a lot from our from office and what that means to us is a lot."
From the moment that Jamahl Mosley became the head coach of the Magic, he has preached consistency with the lineup and has valued team chemistry. This philosophy has led the team to improving every year he has been the coach, and has the Magic in the playoff picture at the moment.
Why Magic Didn't Make Moves at Trade Deadline
If the Magic can continue to improve together over the course of the season as they have thus far, the team could rise in the Eastern Conference standings, especially now that the team isn't dealing with as many injuries as they were at the beginning of the season.
The Magic will look to make some noise after the trade deadline in its next game on Saturday against the Chicago Bulls. Tipoff is set for 7 p.m. ET in the Kia Center.
