Hawks' Bogdan Bogdanovic: Magic Trade Target?
The Orlando Magic is in the playoff picture at the moment, but if the team was to make a trade to improve its shooting, it could really push it over the top.
In a recent article by Bleacher Report, some last-minute trade targets are outlined for each NBA team. And for the Magic, Bogdan Bogdanović is one of the more intriguing players, as he could improve the team's three-point shooting.
"Bogdanović represents the beginning of a new trade-target tier," Favale writes. "Everything he provides is more of an accessory than a feature. Would his off-the-dribble stabilize in Orlando? Would he remain healthy? Both are fair questions. But he's worth a call or text for his spot-up volume and secondary ball movement alone."
The 31-year-old guard is averaging 17 points per game as the third option behind Trae Young, and another player who is being talked about in a lot of trades, Dejounte Murray.
Power Rankings: Magic Win Streak Prompts Rise?
Despite being in the playoff picture at the moment, the team could stand to improve its three-point shooting. It is currently second to last in the league in shooting percentage from beyond the arc, only ahead of the San Antonio Spurs. If the Magic was to add a role player like Bogdanović, he could immediately make an impact, and therefore boost the team's chances to rise in the Eastern Conference standings.
The Magic's next game will be a few hours after the trade deadline has already passed, as the team will be back in action on Thursday against the Victor Wembanyama and the Spurs. Tipoff is set for 7 p.m. ET inside the Kia Center.
