Unfortunately, the San Antonio Spurs are all too familiar with big losses. The team's 35-point loss against the New Orleans Pelicans on Tuesday night marked the ninth defeat of the season by 30 or more points.

With just a handful of games left in the lost season, how can the Spurs respond to a defeat like that?

"Continue to compete," point guard Tre Jones said. "Continue to get better. It's been like that all year. Each night we don't know who's going to be here, who's going to be available. Continue to just focus on us. It's always new lineups. Continue to get better."

The injuries haven't been much of a help, as five key rotation players sat out of the game. The injuries have triggered lineup inconsistencies for a squad that is already entering the game as the inferior team in terms of talent.

"I feel like with the guys that were missing we still want to try to be as competitive as possible and play hard as possible and play together," Sandro Mamukelashvili said. "We know we're down a couple of guys so it won't be as fluid sometimes but we just got to keep going. Keep figuring it out. Keep trusting each other."

All the Spurs have left to play for is pride. In the final 10 games of the season, each player who has the chance to play must take advantage of the opportunity in front of them and fight for wins for one another in hopes that it will land them an important role on next year's team.
