Lakers vs. Spurs GAMEDAY Preview: Betting Odds, How to Watch, Injury Report
The San Antonio Spurs will continue the West Coast portion of their nine-game Rodeo Road Trip on Friday night when they take on the Los Angeles Lakers at crypto.com Arena.
San Antonio (11-45) fell to the Sacramento Kings on Thursday in a 127-122 loss. Meanwhile, without LeBron James, the Lakers lost 128-110 to the Golden State Warriors at Chase Center.
NBA insider Chris Hayes said that James is expected to play against the Spurs.
"As of right now, I'm told that he is expected to play tomorrow against the San Antonio Spurs back in L.A. ... Right now it's just a precaution," Haynes said.
James has missed seven games this season. At age 39, he's averaging 24.8 points, 7.2 rebounds and 7.8 assists in 34.9 minutes per game.
Though James is likely to return vs. San Antonio, Lakers will need to continue to lean on star forward Anthony Davis, who is averaging 24.9 points and 12.2 rebounds per game.
The season series between San Antonio and L.A. is currently tied at 1-1.
