The San Antonio Spurs beat the Houston Rockets in their second preseason matchup on Wednesday behind stellar play from Devin Vassell and Zach Collins. However, it was Victor Wembanyama who once again stole the show.

At this point, anyone who has watched the Spurs play gets to see something they’ve never seen before. On Wednesday, it was his ball-handling skills that left fans wanting even more. While running the floor, Wembanyama dribbled through the legs of Reggie Bullock.

Bullock and Wembanyama spent the summer on the same team after the Spurs traded for him. He was waived earlier this month and signed with the Rockets. While his tenure in San Antonio was short-lived, he seemed to gel well with the young Spurs before his departure.

Did Wembanyama have to pull that move? Probably not, but it was awesome to see a 7-4 teenager pull a move that looked similar to a certain Manu Ginobili highlight.

It’s worth noting that Ginobili pulled that stunt on David West, another former Spur. Call it friendly competition, call it a necessary move, or call it fun basketball.

This comes on the heels of Houston fans accusing Wembanyama of “ducking” them on Monday when he took a day off. Maybe the 19-year-old heard the accusations and wanted to put on a show, or maybe he just brings a fun-first attitude to the court. Coupled with his ability to do the impossible, Spurs fans are in for a season full of basketball played like they’ve never seen before, and the league as a whole is paying attention.
