Suns Legend Steve Nash Scores Goal in Ronaldinho-Carlos Charity Match
Phoenix Suns legend Steve Nash loves soccer.
Of course, Nash is mostly known for his prowess on the hardwood as one of the best point guards of his era. The Canadian's resume speaks for itself:
Steve Nash Accomplishments
- Phoenix Suns Ring of Honor
- NBA 75th Anniversary Team
- 8x NBA All-Star
- 5x NBA Assists Leader
- 3x All-NBA First Team
- 2x All-NBA Second Team
- 2x All-NBA Third Team
- 2x NBA Most Valuable Player
Nash played 18 seasons in the league, engraining himself in league history when students of the game study how somebody should run the point.
Yet Nash has also managed to make an impact in the world of soccer. He helped bring a MLS franchise to Vancouver and has invested in Women's Professional Soccer aside from actually training with some clubs. Nash also bought a stake in La Liga's RCD Mallorca.
There was even a point where he combined both worlds, assisting with a header to Amare Stoudemire in the 2005 dunk contest while performing a rainbow pass to Andre Drummond in the 2016 contest.
His skills were again on display in a recent charity match hosted by Brazil legends Ronaldinho and Roberto Carlos, where he scored a goal by stepping in front of France's Paul Pogba and putting it past legendary goalkeeper Higuita.
The goal can be found in the video below at the 6:20 mark.

At a ripe 48-years-old, Nash probably has some gas left in the tank to make an impact on the pitch, although the Brooklyn Nets might prefer he remain on the sidelines as their head coach.
