The Wizards really gave the Dallas Mavericks a run for their money in the loss on Monday but eventually the Mavericks pulled away at the end.
Since interim head coach Brian Keefe has taken over Washington has improved drastically on defense.
The Pelicans have been on a tear lately winning four of five games and currently sit in sixth place in the Western Conference standings.

Gage Sheets: Pelicans 122 Wizards 113
Washington has been playing much better as of late and their intensity is keeping them in games.
Unfortunately, the shot making is not there especially late in games.
Wizards guard Jordan Poole was supposed to be a guy that helps in that area, but he can't score at any point in the game but especially not late.
Is It Time To Bench Jordan Poole?
This game will be close for most of the game but at some point, New Orleans will go on a run to gain some separation and keep it.
Pelicans win but Washington keeps it close enough to cover the 12.5-point spread.
