The Bears have lost eight straight to Green Bay but get the chance right away in 2023 to end this in the post-Aaron Rodgers era according to a Packer Central report.

The bold new world of the Bears and Packers rivalry begins abruptly this season and also ends it all.

According to Bill Huber of FanNation's Packer Central, the Bears host the Packers to start the 2023 NFL season. It's a Sunday afternoon, Sept. 10 kickoff, the late afternoon national network game at 3:25 p.m.

The Bears season ender is also against Green Bay, a road game at Lambeau Field with the date and time yet to be determined. No doubt it will be a night game because the league loves to stick the Bears in Green Bay at night. The two teams have played at least one night game in 17 straight seasons and the Bears have had to play a night game at Lambeau Field 11 of the last 12 seasons.

So the Bears season opener is Jordan Love coming to Soldier Field to play against Justin Fields.

It's no more Aaron Rodgers owning anything. The new Packers quarterback will face a revamped Bears defense with different players at all three linebacker positions, a new cornerback and a few new faces on the defensive line, although not as many as Bears fans might have hoped.

The Packers own a 104-94-6 advantage in the series and have won eight straight. Rodgers led them to 12 wins in their last 13 at Soldier Field, the lone defeat coming when the Bears won 24-17 to clinch the NFC North title in 2018. The current Bears losing streak to Green Bay began with a season opener at Soldier Field, a 10-3 Packers win at night in 2019. It was the last time the two teams opened against each other to start the season.

PACKERS SCHEDULE RELEASE

Huber reports the Packers play Atlanta on the road in the second week before they finally get to play at home in Week 3 against New Orleans.

The Packers get five prime-time games without Aaron Rodgers as QB. Love has started one game and has thrown 83 passes, completing 50 (60.2%) with a passer rating of 79.7.

If Bears fans miss Aaron Rodgers, they can always watch him in the opener for the Jets in the Monday Night Football opener Sept. 11 against Buffalo, according to Adam Schefter of ESPN.
